On the pooping front
Samuel finally pooped today after not having a BM for 10 days. This is the first time he's pooped without needing a glycerin suppository since Oct 12. Yikes. I read about and treat "constipation" all the time, but it definitely feels more urgent when your son is not pooping. The poop is not hard, so it's technically not constipation. It's definitely what people call breastmilk poop--which can happen just 1x/week. But oh man, when it's coming up on 2 weeks...it's a little concerning.

A smiley guy
Samuel is just a charmer. He looks at us and gives us a big smile. He coos alot, especially with Annette. He's just been a lot of fun to have around the house.

Smiling
Samuel just started this week to smile in response to us.
Sometimes, he doesn't like to sleep by himself in the evening, so a few times, I've held him from about 10pm-2am. I sort of enjoy it--hanging out with him--but it's a little painful the next day.

Pooping and seborrhea
Samuel had a bad case of constipation this week, not pooping for 2 days after being a regular 8x/day guy for most of his life. So I wasn't too fazed by Annette's request yesterday morning at 5:30 am to go something to relieve our little guy. I picked up some Pedia-Lax which worked like a charm after 15 minutes, though the lack of a tapered tip made the the dispenser look very formiddable.
Also, Samuel has gotten pretty bad seborrhea on his face and body. Annette got some really nice calendula cream which seems to be working amazingly well.

1 month old
So far so good. We are glad Samuel is not colicky. He has some new seborrhea all over his body, especially his face and scalp, but he doesn't seem too bothered by it. He's just bumpy all over. He's going in for his 1 month check tomorrow. Compared to Joshua's photo at around the same, I guess they look pretty similar.

2 week check up
I take Samuel to his 2 week check up tomorrow. Samuel has really been a star. He poops a lot, sleeps alot, and is generally an adorable, well behaved kid. Makes me want to have more babies, but I think that's out of the question given our age. He's really a big cuddler--loves to sleep on Annette (more than on me.) But he loves to just be held, and calms down easily in our arms, or with a finger in his mouth. He looks different than Joshua--definitely not Korean looking, but not really like me at this point either. Annette says he has my nose and mouth. I'm not sure that's a good thing. It's also been different to be back at work so soon (after 1 week), and I haven't had to finger feed him like I did Joshua, so I feel like I haven't really gotten to know him well. He's still super adorable. ADDENDUM: Joshua weighed in at 7lb15oz, which was 1lb7oz more than he did 2 weeks ago. Nice job mom!

No baby yet
We thought Samuel was coming a few weeks ago, so we went through a flurry of last minute preparations. It looks like we'll probably have to get induced to get Samuel out.
